Rick’s Heart Foundation is an integral part of the mission of the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation (KBNF). Your steadfast support is a critical component, ensuring a safe and welcoming base for our warehouse operations. From the warehouse, we can do the necessary sorting, packing and loading of container shipments to deliver critically-needed support to West Africa. We had some exciting developments in Q4 and thanks to committed, like-minded donors like you, were able to load and ship six containers during this quarter. During that time, the Coastal Health Authority decommissioned hundreds of hospital beds and thanks to KBNF’s faithful handling of equipment and beds in the past, we were able to receive 500 of these beds. With the help of hundreds of volunteers and thanks to the faithful support of partners like you, we loaded six containers and shipped 500 beds to Ghana and Liberia.
Quality neurosurgical care is a critical need in West Africa, and we remain as committed as ever to our mission to enhance the delivery and quality of brain and spinal care in West Africa.
