Dear Rick’s Heart Foundation Community,

We are excited to tell you that the hospital beds have now been arriving and will keep coming. They are arriving 15, 20, 30 beds at a time and we have already prepared our first 50 beds to be loaded into a container today. Yes, the first shipment is already ready to be loaded. These are exciting times!

We have been processing and preparing beds at two different warehouses—one in Richmond and the other in Burnaby.

Now we need your help, please.

We have created multiple times and days to sign up to help out in November.

John will be in Richmond, processing beds on the following days in November:

Mondays: 10am-1:30pm

Wednesdays: 10am-1:30pm

Fridays: 10am-1:30pm

Sign up HERE.

Shirley is leading the charge in Burnaby, BC. We will be processing beds out of the Burnaby warehouse on the following days and at these times:

Joining us in Burnaby in November? Bringing your family, your friend, your team, your community group, your colleagues? Even an hour or two would help. Sign up HERE.

This month, we will have two volunteer Saturdays, but BOTH will be in Burnaby. Come join us, so we can process as many beds as possible. We will also fold linens that day and prepare mattresses. We need many willing hands and hearts.

Upcoming Events

We are so excited to announce that tickets for our annual Christmas event are now LIVE. We’ll be back for a beautiful buffet dinner at Steamworks in Vancouver on Sunday, December 3 at 6pm. Come hear some of the inspiring stories from this year that remind us why we do this work together and celebrate with our Korle-Bu familiy in the Lower Mainland. We would love to see you there.

While beds have been arriving in Canada, our first container shipment to The Gambia arrived safely. We are so grateful! We are also gearing up for the medical mission in February, while still looking for our next permanent location in the Lower Mainland.

Thank you for journeying with us. We couldn’t do this without you!

Sincerely,

Rose Woller
