Rick’s phone will ring at 2:00 AM and it’ll be somebody saying, “Look. There are a couple of guys down in Surrey. They’re soaking wet. They’re strung out on drugs and nobody’s helping these people.”
Not everyone knows how to help those with mental illness or serious drug addictions. Rick is one of the few.
Rick will load up with blankets and food. He’ll jump in his van and drive there in the middle of the night.
That’s really where he shines — caring for the marginalized and those who are going through really difficult times.
