Read what people are saying about the impact Rick’s Heart Foundation has had in our local Community and Globally.
The Kamloops Fire Fighters Charitable Society and more importantly our benefactors across the globe are eternally grateful for the generosity of Ricks Heart Foundation. Thanks to the kindness and support from Ricks Heart Foundation, life-saving ambulances and firetrucks have been put into service in Africa and Central America. Tens of thousands of pounds of medical supplies and firefighting gear has been funded and transported by this truly exceptional organization. Many organizations claim to make a difference, but our organization has seen first hand the lives Ricks Heart has touched, changed and saved. We have travelled to destinations around the world and have seen first hand a firetruck Ricks Heart has sponsored, extinguish a factory fire. We have been to fires where the Firefighting gear delivered by Ricks Heart has allowed a firefighter to safely fight a house fire. We have participated in patient transports to hospitals in developing countries while riding in ambulances funded by Ricks Heart.
Thank you Ricks Heart Foundation for all you do to make this world a better place.

“Meeting Rick and connecting to Rick’s Heart Foundation was more than serendipitous—it was a life-saving God-send for Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation (KBNF). The partnership with Rick has transformed what the charity can accomplish and has saved more lives that we will ever know.
Thanks to Rick’s Heart Foundation, life-saving medical supplies are moved throughout the province weekly so they can be sorted, packed and sent to Western Africa where medical professionals are empowered and enabled to save lives and alleviate suffering.
Recently Rick’s Heart Foundation partnered with Kelowna firefighters to send Liberia its first-ever ambulance and helped KBNF set up a coordinated ambulance response system. The hope and tangible impact that the Foundation has given is immeasurable, but it is a key part of the $17 million of medical supplies that have been shipped to Western Africa in the past two decades.
On behalf of each patient and their loved ones,
Founder, Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation”
It is an honour to speak and support Rick’s Heart Foundation. He is amazing sending ambulances and medical supplies and equipment to Africa
He has supported our Sports Medicine Clinic Gala Fund Raiser in Uganda. With the funds we have been able to raise with Rick’s support we have been able to obtain a Muscle Tendon Ultrasound to diagnose and treat over 50% of the injuries these athletes suffer
Last year as I was co chair of the SFU Fund Raising for the development of an Exoskeleton that enables those with spinal cord injuries to get up and out of the wheelchair and actually walk Rick was a major contributor to the fund raising
Rick is well known for his support including his children’s train for the Children’s Hospital Gala
Rick has endless energy and makes a tremendous contribution to the community
Thank you Rick!

Synergy between organizations is a powerful force; especially when a Foundation with a big heart recognizes the value a non-profit organization brings to a community. Both organizations are better for this collaboration and can do more for the greater good of others.
Rick’s Heart Foundation and Soap for Hope, a program of Disaster Aid Canada, joined forces late 2018. The goal was simple: reduce environmental footprint and help people by doing this. Together, we successfully brought on 13 more Caring Community on the mainland and able to give back into the community in a bigger way.
Rick’s Heart Foundation concentrates on issues all communities face; homelessness, hunger, wellness and addiction. By collaborating with Soap for Hope, we provide hygiene amenities and linens to the community facilities working with these community challenges. Our growth onto the mainland was spurred on by this partnership. The first community facilities we reached out to where the ones that are near and dear to Rick’s Heart Foundation.
Soap for Hope is very grateful for this WIN – WIN partnership and are thankful for the big heart of Rick’s Heart Foundation. Together we have been able to reduce the environment footprint of reusable products entering our landfills and community facilities are receiving regular deliveries of hygiene products and linens. 2019 promises to have an even greater impact on our community through this partnership.
